This afternoon, Meir Heath have hosted their first Pupil Parliament meeting, where the child representatives from each academy, within the St Bart’s Trust, come to visit.

The Meir Heath school council (Y3 upwards) gave all of the pupil parliament representatives a tour of our school, allowing them to see what life is really like at Meir Heath! The representatives were very complementary and they all commented on our colourful displays, new outdoor classroom but most importantly, how polite and welcoming all of the Meir Heath children were!

After the tour, all of the child representatives discussed their favourite parts of the pupil parliament visits and how we can improve further, ready for the next academic year.

Next week, the Meir Heath children will be voting for their new school council representatives (for September 2017), which will then lead on to new pupil parliamentarians being elected.

Thank you school council 2016 – 2017. You are fantastic!
