Last week, all of the children competed in our annual Sports Day events and how glad were we that the weather was much improved from the week before!

On Wednesday, KS2 started the sporting events by working in their house teams, and competing in races including the sack, obstacle, skipping, egg and spoon and sprint. The morning was finished with the competitive relay races. It was lovely to see so many children trying their best, showing fantastic team spirit, and cheering for all abilities! After totalling all of the points up for each house team, the trophy was passed on to Fleming house team.

On Thursday, the Y6 children assisted Mr Wilkinson in the KS1 Sports Day and made sure everything ran smoothly. The Y6 children even had their own version of the ‘animal hospital’ race. All KS1 children had the chance to compete in three races, and showed great determination!

All year groups were treated to many stickers and an ice pop after their races. A big well done to all.
